Our history

It all started with a dream in my hometown of Pointe-Noire, Congo, where I grew up. I was about 12 years old when I had a dream that I was taking care of and growing my Afro hair very long. I didn't really understand the dream and wondered what it meant. As I grew older I accommodated to the beauty standards of the women around me which consisted of wearing wigs, weaves, and braids. Years later, I went to Minnesota for my undergraduate studies. Living on campus in a small town, I had to travel very far to continue to meet the same standards of beauty. Indeed, only a black woman knows that taking care of Afro hair is a long process !!! So I was frustrated for a long time because I was spending a lot of money and time to maintain my hair. This frustration therefore opened a door to many questions, hypotheses, and research. The main question was how to make Afro and curly hair less prone to dryness, manageable, and gorgeous without the need for a hairdresser? After college, I met someone whose beautiful Afro hair made an impact in my life and furthered my motivation to find solutions for hair care. After immigrating to Canada, based on my knowledge of chemistry, I started formulating several hair lotions and experimenting them on my hair. The results amazed me, my hair grew long, was hydrated, and very beautiful. So, I continued to experiment by giving samples to my friends and family. The feedbacks were always positive, they loved it and the products made their hair less dry and easier to comb. It then became a passion, I continued to work to perfect my formulas. The rest is history, I first launched the products in November 2017 at a local beauty store. By the end of this year, we will reach 10 stores, people are shopping online, soon Amazon, and more. A journey of a thousand steps begins with the first step. Do not despise small beginnings because the best is yet to come. Thank you very much to those of you who support me on this journey.

The word Heavenflo means "That which flows from Heaven". Hair is defined as the glory (beauty, splender, aura, radiance) of a woman. In short, a woman's outward beauty is hidden in her hair. Our goal and purpose is to encourage women to maintain their hair in its natural state; kinky, curly, or wavy. To help you, we have formulated products with natural and organic ingredients that will hydrate, nourish, repair, and soften your beautiful curls. We are proud to promote products without sulfate, paraben, silicone. We believe that because you are beautiful, your hair deserves the best care.
